It seems I've lost the will to try
Lead like limbs and sluggish mind will force me into sleep tonight
Now shadowed behind darkness no more shielded by the light
A tortured soul stuck in between
Wide awake yet in a dream
Living off happiness that was never mine
We rise to this challenge one last time
The time of peace has long since past
Leaving us slack jawed and aghast at what one's pain can do to all
Long ago plagued by anguish like this
We escaped to a world of nothing but bliss
But past demons have come to demand their price
This fatal blow this killing slice
